Jose Mourinho has been sacked by AS ROMA after two and a half years of being in charge.
The Portuguese manager joined the série A in May 2021 and won the European conference league in May 2022.
The former Chelsea boss also guided the club to the Europa League finals last year where they were defeated by their opponent, Sevilla on penalties.
However, Roma have won just one of their last six Serie A games this season - leaving them ninth on the table.
The club owners, Dan and Ryan Friedkin, showed gratitude to Mourinho for his "passion and efforts" in a statement announcing his sacking.
We will always have great memories of his tenure at Roma, but we believe that an immediate change is in the best interests of the club," they said in the statement.
They also went on ahead to wish Jose and his coaching staff all the best in their future endeavours.
