JURGEN KLOPP TO LEAVE LIVERPOOL

Jürgen Klopp has announced his decision to step down as Liverpool manager at the end of this season.

Klopp confirmed he had told the club's bosses about his intention to stand down back in November last year.

"I will leave the club at the end of the season," Klopp said in an emotional video posted by Liverpool. "I understand that it's a shock."

Klopp assumed his role as manager for Liverpool in 2015 and has won six trophies with the reds including the Premier league and the Champions league

Assistant managers Pepijn Lijnders and Peter Krawietz, as well as development coach Vitor Matos, will also vacate their positions at the end of the season, with Lijnders keen to pursue his own career in management.
